In her First Night debut, conductor Elim Chan places Beethoven鈥檚 compelling score at the heart of a celebration that includes fireworks, jubilation and romance. The last comes with Clara Schumann鈥檚 tender and virtuosic Piano Concerto 鈥� performed by a pianist who has championed it tirelessly: Isata Kanneh-Mason, the eldest of the remarkable musical Kanneh-Mason siblings.
