The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic and Chief Conductor Juano Mena continue their tour of Europe in Croatia’s capital, Zagreb. Last here two years ago, they return with a concert framed by two 19th-centry works: Rossini’s Silken Ladder Overture and Mendelssohn’s Third Symphony, the Scottish. At the heart of the programme are two technically astounding concertos for percussion, performed by ‘wizard of percussion’ Martin Grubinger.
