Concert Information
Bart Van Reyn conducts the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers in a concert to celebrate the 100th birthday of British conductor and composer, Stephen Wilkinson.
Alongside works of importance to his career as a conductor are works by composers with whom Wilkinson has enjoyed a close working relationship, including John McCabe and Hans Gal, as well as a performance of Holst’s Nunc Dimittis, which he conducted at its premiere.
The programme finishes with three works composed by Stephen Wilkinson, including Dover Beach, widely acknowledged to be his finest piece for choir, alongside the folk song arrangements The Lark in the Clear Air and A derin pûr.
