Concert Information
In case you couldn't join us at The Bridgewater Hall on 15 October for our special centenary concert, save this link for another chance to hear it, on Radio 3 In Concert.
This concert looks to the past, celebrates the present and contemplates the future, with a programme that reflects the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic's relationships old and new.
In 2005, we released our recordings of Beethoven’s nine symphonies as free downloads and, within a week, Beethoven became the most downloaded artist in the UK. We celebrate Beethoven’s enduring popularity in this concert with his epic Ninth Symphony.
We also continue to champion rarely performed and newly written music. Hear Ruth Gipps’s Chanticleer overture and a brand-new piece by Erland Cooper in tribute to Peter Maxwell Davies’s long and close association with the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic.
Here’s to the next 100 years!
