Concert Information
Join the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Orchestra and conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang at the Â鶹ԼÅÄ’s iconic Maida Vale Studios for an afternoon of orchestral favourites. Opening the concert, Lyadov’s folksong-inspired tone poem is an emotive portrait of the Russian witch Baba yaga. Alexandra Soumm joins the Â鶹ԼÅÄ SO for Mendelssohn’s famed Violin Concerto, considered a cornerstone of the romantic violin repertoire. Tchaikovsky’s much-loved Symphony No. 5, with its heart-warming French horn solo in the second movement, brings the programme to a rousing conclusion.
This concert will be broadcast live on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3.
Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house we send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early.
