Naomi Wilkinson presents a lively Prom to introduce younger listeners to some of the greatest classical music 鈥� including Wagner鈥檚 Ride of the Valkyries, music from Bizet鈥檚 Carmen and Vaughan Williams鈥檚 The Lark Ascending.

About This Event

After the success of last year鈥檚 Ten Pieces Prom comes a new selection of classical essentials, this time aimed at secondary-school pupils.

In the culmination of the Ten Pieces II project 鈥� which has taken classical music to schools across the UK 鈥� this Prom combines live performance with video animations.

From the power of Wagner鈥檚鈥楻ide of the Valkyries鈥� to the skills of DJ Mr Switch in Gabriel Prokofiev鈥檚 Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra, the Ten Pieces II Prom also showcases creative responses from teenagers.

There will be one interval

This year, for the first time, a limited number of Promming tickets will be available to book online.

Promming tickets for the Ten Pieces II Prom on Saturday 23 July (Prom 10) and the CBeebies Proms on Sunday 28 and Monday 29 August (Proms 56 & 58) will be available to purchase online the day before each concert between 9.00am and 12.00pm.
