Two concertos in one programme as we welcome back Jac van Steen - dynamic Dutch violinist Liza Ferschtman plays Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 warmly romantic Violin Concerto and the 麻豆约拍 National Orchestra of Wales are the soloists in Bart贸k鈥檚 Concerto for Orchestra: a great showpiece in which every player has to deliver playing of spectacular virtuosity. And Martin暖鈥檚 richly bejewelled orchestral textures have an Italian theme, inspired by the peace and colours of nature as seen in Piero della Francesca鈥檚 frescoes.
