About this event
Join Mary King and members of the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers for a practical investigation into Britten’s epic War Requiem – introducing and exploring the musical devices which include simple choral chanting and overlapping textural washes. This workshop is an introduction to the work suitable for those who’ve never sung it, exploring the ways that Britten uses the words of the Requiem alongside the poetry of Wilfred Owen. Open to ages 16-plus.
This workshop is an introduction to Prom 47 on Thursday 21 August. For details about booking Proms tickets click here.
