A celebration of the brass, wind and percussion from the Â鶹ԼÅÄ SSO brings vibrant and colourful musical fireworks to the Pickaquoy Arena. Copland’s well-loved 'Fanfare for the Common Man' is complemented by Joan Tower’s response for the Uncommon Woman and Stravinsky’s highly coloured music inspires the Hommage by Ole Schmidt. The evening comes to an explosive conclusion with Handel’s brilliant dance suite written for King George II to celebrate the end of war.
The concert will be recorded for future broadcast on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3.
