The programme will include Laura Shigihara’s Grasswalk from the game Plants vs Zombies and Margaret Bonds’ Montgomery Variations, which was written in response to the American Civil Rights Movement and tells the story of what it means to stand up for your beliefs.
Â鶹ԼÅÄ Ten Pieces is a music education initiative for students aged 7-14, it launched in 2014 and is the biggest commitment the Â鶹ԼÅÄ has ever made to music education. Ten Pieces aims to open the world of classical music to a generation of children and inspire them to develop their own creative responses to orchestral and vocal music.
Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic Schools' Concerts are the perfect introduction to orchestral music for young audiences and can act as a springboard to cross-curricular activities when used in conjunction with the Ten Pieces classroom resources.
