The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Proms Inspire scheme is for budding composers aged 12 to 18 who want to write their own music. The scheme provides you with a friendly environment to share ideas, participate in workshops, meet other young composers and develop your musical creativity.
Contemporary composers require a broad base of skills, finding themselves working as performers, improvisers, programmers and practitioners. Join composer and workshop leader Paul Griffiths in a practical session designed to develop your skills in spontaneous music making, rhythmic awareness, improvisation and collaborative practice. Instruments/voices and an open mind required. Limited pianos and percussion will be available.
All young composers who enter this year’s Inspire Young Composers’ Competition or attend an Inspire Lab will be offered priority booking at this season’s Inspire Sessions in June 2015. This is event is now fully booked.
