The young Mozart didn’t mind showing off. And that’s just as well, because neither does François Leleux – conductor, entertainer and oboist extraordinaire. The concert begins with the symphony that the 22-year old Mozart wrote in order to wow French audiences, and ends with an even younger Schubert stretching his wings in a “Tragic” symphony with a surprisingly happy ending. Leleux directs, and there’s a piece of pure drama from Ludwig van Beethoven too.
The concert will be recorded for future broadcast on 鶹Լ Radio 3.
