Weird Shapes are one of four Â鶹ԼÅÄ Introducing acts on the line-up for the 6 Music Festival after being championed by their local show on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Tees.
The Stockton quintet, led by frontman Dan Spooner, have been conjuring ambient indie since 2011 earning praise for singles Blue Sky At Night and Clouds from 6 Music, Amazing Radio and Radio 1. They also played the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Introducing stage at T in the Park in July 2012.
Soaking in influences including Radiohead, Yes and Roxy Music, Weird Shapes are driven forward by their obsession with audio production and cups of tea. A winning combo.
The band, who own their own studio, are currently working on a six track mini-album, due for release this year.
