Chips Away!

Who saw Hot Chip at Glastonbury in 2008 when Wiley came onstage with them and they performed his hit, Wearing My Rolex - a track that Hot Chip had initially covered for the Live Lounge? A genuinely classic moment from a band that has excelled at Glastonbury, well, over and over again.

This year is the London-based electronic pop group’s fifth appearance at the festival and they come equipped with a brilliant fifth album - the R&B-influenced Why Make Sense? Why indeed? In May, they came in to tell Jo Whiley about the album and their fifteen years of making music, then frontman Alexis Taylor made a luscious Bedtime Mix for Radio 1’s Phil Taggart shortly after. It’s definitely not time to sleep, though, when Hot Chip play Glastonbury. Get up and dance.
