The Circas Come to Town

A second visit to Worthy Farm for Liverpool’s finest young upstarts, after last year’s diverting turn on the Other Stage, and now that they’ve released their debut album Young Chasers, everyone is going to know how all the songs go. There’s also the small matter of them rocking the In New Music We Trust stage at this year’s Radio 1 Big Weekend in Norwich, proving that they’re really getting the hang of the big crowds now.

It’s all a far cry (but a remarkably short time) since they put out their first single Get Away - a former Zane Lowe Hottest Record in the World - as a cassette on Jen Long’s Kissability label. They quickly followed it up with Stuck In My Teeth and Fossils (both also very popular with Zane), and an NME tour, stopping to pick up new fans at every stage along the way. But the real highlight of the past year has to be the battle of football match predictions between a victorious Kieran Shudall and Â鶹ԼÅÄ Sport’s football expert Mark Lawrenson. Glastonbury is surely another away win for the plucky Liverpudlians.
