"Online hype in 2012 caused a panic to sign Palma Violets (they eventually went with legendary indie Rough Trade) and before their debut album, 180, came out in February 2013, they鈥檇 already won NME鈥檚 Song of the Year for their anthemic 2012 debut single, Best of Friends. Since then the London group, who were nominated for the 麻豆约拍 Sound of 2013 poll, have gone from strength to strength, playing a 6 Music session for Lauren Laverne soon after 180 came out, destroying Glastonbury that summer and cleaning up at the 2014 NME Awards.
Palma Violets鈥 second album, the pub rock-influenced Danger In The Club, was released in May 2015, and they鈥檝e been touring it in the run up to this performance on the Other Stage. Truly, this four-piece, fronted - Pete鈥檔鈥機arl-like - by bassist Chilli Jenson and guitarist Sam Fryer are a sight to behold live, as their passionate fans know all too well. Head straight into the mosh pit, or get the hell out of the tent."
