Start:The start of the walk is at the Whiting Shoal sculpture between Tesco's car park and the Millennium Promenade. Whitehaven Rail station is behind Tesco, a few hundred yards from the sculpture.
Points of interest:The oldest parts of the harbour date from the 18th century. The Georgian town centre.
More info:The walk takes you over cobbled streets and on some uneven surfaces. Take care when walking in the harbour as it might be slippery and the old quays aren't always buggy or wheelchair friendly.

Refreshments:The walk takes you through Whitehaven town centre, with take-aways, cafes and restaurants all over the route. The obligatory seaside ice-cream can be bought in the harbour most days.
Parking:There are numerous car parks close to Whitehaven harbour. Queens Dock car park is closest to the start, Quay Street South car park is closer to the end at Crow's Nest on Lime Tongue. Charges apply. Opening hours 8am-8pm Monday to Sunday.
