An unknown species defeated the Zelbinion and the Sheyangs have been over it once, so everything of any value or use has been picked clean. Yet Rygel found his royal sash and jewel in plain sight on Captain Durka's desk.
Gilina and Crichton's kiss in the confined space on the Zelbinion is reminiscent of Princess Leia and Han Solo on the Millennium Falcon in The Empire Strikes Back - especially as both couples are interrupted immediately.
Aeryn's line on killing a Sheyang is straight from the original Star Wars: "Sorry about the mess," she says.
Are all those Sheyang fighters manned? If so, why did only one of them manage to board Moya? And how did he do that anyway? "That doesn't matter," says Zhaan. Manned or not, how are they supposed to rejoin their ship? They're shot off like Vipers from Battlestar Galactica but they come off a kind of gunbelt that looks a bit hard to dock with again.
Rygel's flashbacks to his torture are reminiscent of the Star Trek: The Next Generation story 'Chain of Command'.
