Episode Guide
Entropy

Trivia

The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth.

A small shrine to the nerdiest supervillans on TV. This week:

Warren calls Jonathan "short round" - a reference to the kid in Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom. He also calls him "Padawan", a reference to Star Wars.

We learn that Jonathan used to collect Babylon 5 novels. Poor Jonathan - some of the early ones were rather ropey. The best Babylon 5 book was written by UK author Jim Mortimore.

Andrew's hideous jumper. It's worth watching the episode again just to marvel at it. There are stripes, there are embroidered flowers, there are pastels....

International House of Pancakes: Dawn, amazed at Buffy's breakfast spread, asks if "Are we going international?" This is a reference to the International House of Pancakes ("IHOP") chain.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, they offer a dazzling breakfast platter of cereals, sausages and all-you-can-eat pancakes (they're currently doing a special on stuffed french toast). Although a North American chain, the "I" in IHOP comes from their branches in Canada.

Dawn's window shopping: When Buffy takes Dawn shopping they go to the Santa Monica promenade in the heart of LA. Although you can't quite see it from the finished episode, the spiritual home of shopping is right by super trendy Venice Beach.

Xander's Music of Pain: As Xander sits nursing his broken heart, he listens to Sao Paulo Rain by Tom McRae. Last time we saw him having a major brood-out to the "music of pain" was in Prophecy Girl, when Buffy wouldn't go to the prom with him.

What is entropy?: Entropy is the second law of thermodynamics. Basically it means the more you try and put things together, the more they fall apart.

Willow's computer: Surely the show's worst ever use of a computer, as Willow uses... um.... um... a spinny circly thing to hack into a fibre-optic loop network of hidden cameras. All without a visible internet connection. And using an Apple Mac. Which couldn't even hack into a cheese sandwich.

Sexy Spike: Although we never get to see Spike's sexy dance, we should point out that Xander used to have a Snoopy Dance. Back when he was fun.
