Episode Guide
Bargaining Part 2

Trivia

Going Underground: Franc A. Ross, who played head demon Razor, recently appeared in an episode of quirky US drama Six Feet Under. Ironic really, considering the subject matter of Bargaining...

Your move, creep!: Robo Buffy is a reference to Robocop. In the film of the same name, a policeman is killed in the line of duty and brought back to life as a cyber cop who patrols the streets fighting crime.

Déjà Vu: The location where Dawn finds the Buffy bot was the same place used for Glory and the monks' original hideout in No Place Like Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

Don't mess with us: Tara's line, "Nobody messes with my girl" is probably a nod to season two's What's My Line Part 2, where Buffy proclaims, "Nobody messes with my boyfriend".

Buried Alive: This is actually the second time we’ve seen Buffy six feet under. There’s a scene in Nightmares where Buffy is buried alive by the Master - it’s one of her fears.

Sarah Michelle Geller also has a phobia of graveyards in real life. A fake graveyard had to be built from season two onwards as she won't film in real ones if at all possible.

I'm not dead yet: It’s not the first time we’ve heard of people being buried alive.

In the mid 19th Century, emigrants on the Oregon Trail in America buried cholera-ravaged fellow travellers by the side of the road before they had died, just to save time!

Fairy Tales: Xander asks how long Tara has been Tinkerbell. It's a reference to the fairy in J M Barrie’s much adored novel Peter Pan.

Bunnies aren't funny: When Razor asks Willow what she's going to do, "pull a rabbit out of a hat," Anya turns to Tara to be reassured that she won't - part of Anya's fear of rabbits. We first found out about her phobia in the season four episode Fear, Itself.

Wild Bunch: Xander mentions the film Wild Bunch, which just happens to be a favourite of Joss’s. It features character with such familiar names as Pike (from the Buffy movie), Lyle and Tector Gorch (from Bad Eggs) and Angel.
