Our article Will K-pop's AI experiment pay off? sought to explore the use of AI in K-pop and the pros and cons of this.

Readers felt that the article incorrectly gave the impression that the band Seventeen used AI to make music and in their video for hit single, Maestro.

The article stated that Maestro β€œmight well include AI-generated lyrics”. This line has since been removed and the article updated in light of comments from group member, Woozi:

β€œWoozi has since said on Instagram that all of Seventeen's music is β€˜written and composed by human creators’”.

We have also added an update note at the bottom of the article to reflect this change.

Separately, there was concern regarding the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Korea version of the article which included a mistranslation and stated that some of Seventeen’s lyrics were β€œwritten with the help of AI technology”. This line has since been removed from the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Korea article and we would like to offer our apologies for this error.

With regards to the music video, it is the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ’s understanding that AI was used in the introduction of the video.
