Independent producers who would like to pitch an idea to a Network must first register to become a supplier.
For information on pitching to a non-Network radio station please see the Local Radio and Nations Radio pages.
Please note: Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio does not accept programme ideas from individuals unattached to a production company.
A new Pitching and Commissioning System (PiCoS) will be launching in early 2024. We’ll be sending out more information via email about the new system, what to expect and support in using PiCoS, so keep an eye on your inbox. For any queries, contact picos.support@bbc.co.uk

If you are commissioned you will need to sign-up for a Proteus Paperwork account. Email to request a login. This will need to be authorised by the business contact at your company, if you don’t know who this is, Proteus Support can confirm this for you.
Training materials for users with Proteus Paperwork accounts are available on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Academy website.

Working with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio
We want Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio to be a place where Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Audio and independent producers bring their best ideas. The Radio Commissioning Framework is designed to be fair, robust and transparent, it's a tool to help us reinvent and grow radio.
If you have any comments or complaints about your experience of the commissioning process, please contact the network controller (contact details can be found on the relevant station page) or the Head of Editorial Standards and Commissioning Policy, Fergus Dudley Fergus.dudley@bbc.co.uk so we can improve how we work.
We also ask for feedback through an annual survey.
