National Coal Mining Museum 6

The Yorkshire Mining Museum opened in 1988 and gained 'national' status in 1995. The museum's Caphouse Colliery site just outside Overton has possibly the oldest coal-mine shaft still in use in Britain today. Visitors can still go underground there!
