X-Ray is looking for a new street

Three months ago when X-Ray met the residents of Portland Street, Abertillery there were a number of things they wanted to change about themselves and their lives.
They wanted to throw away the takeaways and convenience food, learn about cooking from scratch, get fit, stop smoking, lose weight, shrink bottoms, sleep better, feel better, get to know their neighbours and find out what's on their doorstep.

It all sounded like a tall order. And understandably many of the families didn't know where to start.
But with help from X-Ray the residents were quickly introduced to a range of experts - on and off the street - and soon threw themselves into these challenges throughout the series.
For Catherine Lloyd the project has been a life changing one as she got back into exercise and really began to feel the benefits of it, both physically and mentally. She said, "It's lifted my mood, I have more energy and feel more cheerful and more able to deal with stress. I would recommend exercise to anyone."
She and the rest of the residents have loved getting out and about and changing aspects of their lives to reap bigger benefits. And as another success story residents like Anthony Marsh and Amanda Gibbs finally managed to crack the smoking habit with the help of each other, friends and family and Stop Smoking Wales' Liz Clarke.
So as we wave goodbye to Portland Street, X-Ray wants to do it all again with a new project. If your street is ready for a new challenge then we want to hear from you.
