Patrik's second homecoming

JUST ARRIVED IN MUNICH - Itβs a strange return to Munich for Patrik Andersson, the Swedish giant who helped Bayern win the Champions League final in 2001.
On his first visit to the city since he left the club after that triumph, I asked him if heβs fondly remembered here. βI hope so, because I decided the championship for Bayern,β he said, in reference to his last minute equaliser in the final Bundesliga match in the same season.
But he concedes the Swedes wonβt be so popular if they dump the Germans out.
βItβs a pity, this game is too early,β he says. βItβs important to see the hosts stay in the tournament.β
Does that mean heβs tipping his home country to win this afternoon?
βItβs hard to say Sweden β they havenβt played their best yet,β he says. But he then does just that, predicting theyβll beat Germany on penalties. βThatβs how we went out against Holland in Portugal β this time itβs our turn.β
To lift the cup, though, he backs Argentina.

I've backed Argentina since before the tournament - they have been superb in the build-up, have a great manager in Pekerman and their squad is so strong - take a look at Tevez and Messi left on the bench!
