I think flying a highly paid radio person to a remote coral island would be a nice [if environmentally unfriendly] holiday for her, but considering the nature of your blog, somewhat hypocritical? What can she report on, what can she contribute which isn't already known?
Sounds to me that you've newly come to global warming and haven't quite got it yet.
All these islands are going to disappear, along with low-lying land everywhere. Perhaps you could send her to Norfolk which is largely going to disappear this century.
