As the Political editor of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, I would have imagined that you would have been blogging on how disgraceful it is that any MPs would be voting for someone whos expense claims beggar belief, yet you decide to tell us a joke, well I find it in poor taste, our MPs are the laughing stock of Europe, what you should have also been commenting on is how the British public will react to such an individual holding such an important position.

It is high time that the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ political correspondents take a trip out of the Westminister village, and start to understand the deep disgust that the British public feel about our so called political masters.

The joke is at the school boy level not that of someone taking a salary of well over 100,000 pounds per year. I look for serious background information on Bercow, the 300,000 pound tax payer funded 2nd home property profit and his flip to avoid tax would have been a start. What we really need to know is what this guy has done before he made his way to the westminster trough and if he has done anything remotely usefull since he has been there.
Mr Bercow on first viewing would seem likely to have been voted in by the opposition as a perfect whipping boy. if his expences and tax affairs are corectly reported we can all expect lots of Bercow fun when the time is right.

If there is a joke in here somewhere, it's perhaps not the one intended.

Though 'Tales from the Urinal Gutter' does seem a promising avenue for political reporting from within Westminster.

If Mr Bercow is the answer one is left wondering at the question.

Still I am advised that one should not require the death of a sinner but to ensure that he comes to a true repentance.

I recommend that Mr Bercow regularly takes up a pew in Buckingham church to address his deficit. There is room.
