South London rapper and rockstar Master Peace s is now on Radio 1's playlist! Make sure to tune into the network all week to hear his tune 'Night Time'.

Style: An infectious indie-rap hybrid.

Essential: Master Peace is a 20 year old artist from South London who combines his influences of rock and alternative sounds with his love of rap music. It wasn't until he watched Straight Outta Compton in 2015 that he decided to start writing music. Master Peace makes music that is injected with playful and carefee flare, and is inspired by The Cure, Kurt Cobain and even Busted. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 1Xtra: Chiedu Oraka x Deezkid - Men Behaving Badly (ft. Jacob Aaron)

Chiedu Oraka and Deezkid, representing their hometown of Hull are now on 1Xtra's playlist! Tune in to Nick, Mim, Dotty, Twin and Yasmin all week to hear 'Men Behaving Badly'.

Style: A high octave funky belter.

Essential: Hull artists Chiedu Oraka and Deezkid have teamed up to make a funky house earworm. The track also features Jacob Aaron. Chiedu has been on the rise over the last few years, and in 2017 he played on the Introducing stage at He takes inspiration from 2pac and Lauryn Hill and has supported the likes of Akala, Stormzy, Jaykae on tour. 

Chiedu says: “Men Behaving Badly isn’t defined by a genre, you can’t just put this into a box. It’s a lifestyle, we know what we are, Northern reprobates who don’t tend to do well with it comes to rules. We’ve made a record that hasn’tβ€― made us conform to what’s out now. It’s a National Anthem that will make any stiff dancer feel like James Brown as soon the track comes on. So, grab a drink and shake a leg.”
