Unveiling Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing's plans for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival

For the first time ever Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing will host a stage at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival at the end of April.

We now receive such a broad range of music into the , including genres from pop and rock, to folk, classical, world and jazz – it’s only right that our festival offering and opportunities reflect the diverse mix of artists who now share their tracks with us.

The 36 Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing shows across local radio have been busy picking the best jazz acts from their area to put forward to our panel of Radio 2 presenters: Jamie Cullum and Jo Whiley. I'm delighted to reveal the 3 artist who have been selected to perform at the festival:

Ruth Lambert Trio
Kel Elliott & Her 3 Man Orchestra

The showcase will take place at St Pauls Church in Cheltenham on Wednesday 27th April and will be hosted by Radio 2’s Jo Whiley. The show will be recorded for later broadcast across the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing local radio network as well as Jo Whiley and Jamie Cullum’s Radio 2 shows the following week.

It’s been great to see the Festival grow so much over the years – and for a festival of any type to reach 20 years is a huge achievement.”
