Back in 2011, launched a very special event called the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Masterclasses, which took place at two legendary music studios, steeped in music history – Abbey Road and Maida Vale Studios. 250 new musicians from around the UK were invited to attend and spend the day hearing from some of the most influential names in the music business. There were talks and workshops hosted by some of the biggest Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ DJ names and ‘in conversations’ with some of the biggest musicians from that year.

One particularly special opportunity arose from the event, when a 17 year old Jake Bugg was in attendance after hitching a ride to London to take part. After listening to a talk with music executive Mike Smith (President of Music at Mercury Records at the time), Jake reluctantly joined the queue of those handing Mike their demos. That day was the catalyst that started Jake’s journey and within just a few months, he found himself with a recording contract and an opportunity of a lifetime.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Introducing was created in 2007 to give a platform to under-the-radar musicians, just like Jake, from around the UK and to provide them with unrivalled opportunities that only the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ could offer. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Masterclasses encompassed all that and we wanted to bring it back and make it bigger and more accessible to our audiences than ever before. Inspired by and developing on those early masterclass events, the newly named Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Introducing LIVE will be taking place at Tobacco Dock later this year on Thursday 8th–Saturday 10th November. The event aims to advise and inspire those interested in all aspects of the music industry. It's not only aimed at upcoming musicians, but also to the budding music industry execs, aspiring broadcasters and passionate music fans amongst you. There will be something for you all.

Across the 3 days, Tobacco Dock will play host to music experts from all aspects of the industry ranging from the recorded, live, broadcast and digital parts of the sector. The programme will be made up of hundreds of masterclasses, interactive sessions, talks, practical workshops and some very special live performances. Led by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, it will bring together the UK music industry all under one roof, for a collaborative moment in support of the creative industries and new talent.
