Some bands are young; some bands are fierce; some bands are tight, motivated and on the money; and some bands are a combination of all the aformentioned! Enter ... This rock'n'roll trio from Glasgow are turning heads with every performance right now and rightfully so. Without re-inventing the wheel or changing the classic formula of guitar, bass and drums, they inject new life and attitude into what many might call punk rock! They seem dedicated to the genre and are certain there's a new generation of fans who want to discover the energy,Μύjump around and cut loose... Baby Strange of course are the soundtrack!

Baby Strange - Friend

Clocking at ages 17, 19 and 22, they weren't even born when the first wave of UK punk took the country by storm, and yet they channel The Damned, Sham 69 and The Clash into their short sharp bursts of pop noise, claiming all 3 bands as influences in their radio interview with me. So far they've also managed to impress audiences and a handful ofΜύmore established bands across the country in their short existence, having shared stages with The View, The Vaccines and Palma Violets amongst others. It seems like the NME are fans and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6Music's very own Steve Lamacq also rates them, so they're off to a good start!

On Monday 26th August 2013, they came into the and performed their very first session for me or anyone at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ... I don't think it will be their last however. With breakneck versions of their 2 singles Pure Evil and Friend, they also knocked out a rockin' version of Peter, Bjorn and John's 'Young Folks' complete with distorted guitar replicating the iconic whistling solo... genius!
