Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1: Griff - Good Stuff

The Three Counties' Griff is now on Radio 1's playlist! Make sure to tune into the network all week to hear her track 'Good Stuff'.

Supported by: Myself and Danny at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Introducing in Beds, Herts & Bucks.

Style: Bedroom pop.

Essential: Griff is an 18-year old one-woman production, songwriting & visual powerhouse from Watford. She has been supported by Introducing in Beds, Herts & Bucks, Annie Mac and Mollie King on Radio 1's Best New Pop show. Born to Chinese and Jamaican parents, she taught herself how to make music and writing songs in secret from her classmates.

Aside from producing and creating her own music, Griff also makes her own clothes which you see in her artwork, as well as trying her hand in the creative direction of her live shows.

Speaking of the song, Griff said: “So my family foster children in care, and we've had kids come and live with us for as long as 4 years, but they always end up moving on to a more permanent situation. Every time they do, as a family we always only ever remember 'the good stuff' - even though fostering can be super difficult and hard. So about a year ago I came into the studio with 'only remember the good stuff when you go' written down in my phone notes, and that became this song.”

You can catch Griff playing at Omeara on 25th March.
