It really is a joy to have a band in the studio who are fully formed and ready to go, with songs, image and concept all in place... On Monday 27th April 2015, I had the great pleasure of welcoming my Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing guests WHITE into our glorious Pacific Quay studios in Glasgow, to perform the customary three songs. Counting ex-members of Kassidy, The Low Miffs and Garden of Elks (a diverse collection of bands) in their line-up, the Glasgow quintet have picked up some serious attention so far with only a handful of gigs and one song 'Living Fiction' finding its way online.

WHITE made a decision to squirrel themselves away and write an album's worth of material in secret before foisting their wares on the world. They now possess an armoury of potential hit singles in their live set, they are tight and in control. Let this be a lesson to other bands out there - there is no hurry, and it's far better to take your time and get things right! Most importantly though, this is a band who enjoy what they do and you can tell. With forthcoming single 'Future Pleasures' (which you can watch below), another original 'Private Lives' and their ingenious cover of Royal Blood's 'Ten Tonne Skeleton', they displayed their love of glam-rock, synth-pop, indie and disco influences, drawing on Roxy Music, Bowie, Chic, Franz Ferdinand and LCD Soundsystem. This is dynamic pop-music that will get you dancing and yet is not afraud to take risks, as Leo Condie's acrobatic lead vocals demonstrate.

I was at their debut LIVE gig at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany in September 2014 and I'm delighted to have hosted their debut radio session as well. Here's a band that could really go the distance, and if there's any justice in the world they'll be bothering the charts in the very near future. Come on... into the WHITE, my friends!
