Whats going on with all this winter lurgy..

Carrie
Is it me or is there just a permanent lurgy going round at the moment...There was this beast of a cold that pretty much infected the whole team, lasted about a month and was really quite minging..Then you get over that and there's now a vomitting bug going round - Jo Whiley had it, Rach had it, Dom had it. The rest of us have done ok with that one - but we haven't been let off that easily - oh no sireee. If your not stuck with your head down a loo then you have this new and improved cold - seems to head straight for the throat..Glands the size of golf balls if you know what I mean..

I've got that and hence missed all the fun and frolicks from the Radio One Party last night. Was gutted as had a hair cut just for the occassion. Joce also has it, as does executive producer Rhys and Dom is now suffering from it too. A double whammy. At least we had Jimmy Carr in this morning to cheer us all up. Went to see him in stand up at in London a couple of weeks ago and haven't laughed so much in ages. If you get to go to a gig I'll just say Spiderman and you'll know what I mean!!!! Gross!!!
Anyway am off to Reading today for some more Carrie on Footballers Action..Am hoping not to pass on the lurgy to any of them as I seem to get blamed for all germ spreading these days! First I need to hit that pharmacy for some lozenges!

Colds.... lurgys? You sit in nice warm studies - and pass all your germs on to ecah other -they never get a chance to disappear...

I had 1 Day off last year and not had any colds at all. I work in a warehouse which I might add is pretty cold and Breezy - so turn your heating off in Studio's and wear masks and you might all survive.... you all have it too cosy and cushy specially Moyles... he needs to start doing more his head is getting bigger and bigger (size not ego)!! Saw hin on telly over xmas his head filled the screen... sad but true!!

I know exactly the kind of schnidey, calculated, sucker-punch tactics that these colds and bugs have.....i think ive got the annoying HALF-headache that is enough to get right on your tits but not quite enough to keep you off work! its a sneaky cold because i seem to be fine all day at work then, when i get home,im sniffig and sneezing all over the place! So when you tell your boss you may not make it in tomorrow he doesn't believe you because you look normal!!!!! then back pops the headache to just top a right day off!

Iraqi Signing

Liverpool Football Club are on the look out for some new talent and send a scout to Iraq where they find a fantastic new player.

The Liverpool manager flies to Baghdad to watch him and is suitably impressed and arranges for him to come over to Anfield.

Two weeks later Liverpool are 2-0 down to Chelsea with only 30 mins left. The manager gives the young Iraqi striker the nod and on he goes. The lad is a sensation, scores 3 goals and wins the game for Liverpool..

When the player comes off the pitch he phones his mum to tell her about his first day in English football. "Hello mum, guess what - I played for half an hour today, scored 3 goals and won the game. Everybody loves me, the fans, the media, they all love me."

"Wonderful," says his mum, "Let me tell you about my day... while you were having a great time, your father got shot in the street, your sister and I were ambushed and beaten and your brother has joined a gang of looters."

The young lad is very upset, "What can I say mum, but I'm so sorry."

"Sorry?!!" says his mum,

"It's your fault we moved to Liverpool in the first place!"
