As for the rugby - I'm married to a Welshman, my son was born in Wales, so even tho I'm officially English (only just, I was born in Chester).........

I won't be here for the match - I'm off to see my friends baby over the other side of the country (Yay baby cuddles!). The boy was supposed to be coming with me, but as a result of being a poorly boy yesterday has decided he wants to stay at home with his dad, and as t'other is away all next week I'm now looking forward to some time boyless!

Great show this morning. Love the banter between Gary & LLW, such an unlikely easy friendship.

Rugby- I shall have my England support up full blast (though when Wales are playing anyone else I support them as my Mum's Welsh). When watching the Wales-Scotland match mini-man was screaming at the TV 'Look at dat!!" and "Oh no!" and generally running round the room with his rugby ball being manic then my friend arrived who's a Scot. She told him he had to shout Scotland! He stopped in his tracks and looked he in the face and shouted "NO!" so she asked who he had to shout for then, to which he replied.... "Leicester!" What a top boy he's turning out to be.

CLP - Firstly a wanter say a caught some of yer show this morning whilst joining more copper pipes in me new old 'ouse..... And FREAK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All that am about ter write is 100% TRUE.... A swear on me own life, that of me parents.... some may think am just writing rubbish.... But all a write is 100% TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lately a keep 'aving small coincidences of telepaphy.... This morning a was listening ter yer show thinking a should blog soon about CLP & Tash's baby that must be due soon!!!!!!!! A was thinking it must be gettign close ter the day the drop will 'appen!!!!!!!!
And ter blog with me prediction of if it will be a boy or girl!!!!!!!!!! (If yer look back on the blog a correctly predicted CLP & Tash would 'ave a boy before and low and behold.... Noah was born!!!!!!!!)
Then by coincidence a few minutes later CLP started talking with Garry Barlow & The Lord about Tash being pregnant and when the little one is due - coincidence a was just thinking that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now my prediction of will it be a girl or a boy..... A found a way that a 'eard in an interesting tv programme about 'ow yer can predict the sex of a child.... A won't give away the secret..... But it's partly ter do with the conception and the types that the parents are!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aka more testosterone, more likely ter 'ave a boy.... More feminine the parents.... A girl is more likely and it's ter do with the conception aswell which a won't go inter as a will probably get moderated.... But it was a very interesting tv programme a saw.... And it seems ter work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A was VERY sure first time yer were gonna 'ave boy.... But this second time..... It was more difficult ter call...... After alot of weighing up boy or girl..... girl or boy....... A came up with:

A swear 100000000% this is true..... A came up with 70% Boy/ 30% Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A strong feeling it's more weighted that CLP & Tash will 'ave yet another boy even though CLP already 'as a daughter from a previous relationship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And low and behold CLP 'a 'eard yer say the medical dudes said first they though yer were gonna 'ave a girl after looking at a scan.... but now they say it's definately a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And FREAK OUT.... Me prediction is true again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going by the same way of predicting the sex of a child.... If meself and me present beautiful Thai girlfriend 'ave a child which we both VERY much want..... A can say it's very difficult ter predict looking at meself and me partner...... But I would say: 45% a Boy/ 55% a Girl.... So i'm probably gonna 'ave a baby girl (NOT THAT AM ANNOUNCING SOMETHING 'ERE... IT'S NOT 'APPENED YET!!!!! But 'opefully within the next 2 years!!!!!! Looks like after all the bad luck a seem ter 'ave in life.... life really is gonna begin for me at 40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At last!!!!!!!!!!)

Hello All

I've been having a duvet day today, due to feeling fairly rotten with a bad cold. Mr B had it last weekend, so it's all his fault... I'm hoping I'll have recovered enough to go to the hairdressers tomorrow, as my highlights could really do with a seeing to.

Slightly cheered though by the fact that we booked tickets for the Sonisphere Festival yesterday. Son is very excited at the prospect of seeing his beloved Queen (the band, that is - I doubt if Her Majesty will be there!) Even if it is only two of the original members. I'm also looking forward to hopefully meeting up with a new friend in October for the Level 42 gig... ;o)

Bingo - haven't seen you 'next door' recently. How are you doing?

Mad week here, have not sat down to even eat tea before 8.30 at the earliest this week and am now shattered..but has been quite a productive week if nothing else!

Mad i missed the book discussion t`other day though... for those of you who like chick-lit with a bit of depth then also try Dorothy Koomtson (think I`ve probably recommended her before). Really enjoyable reads. And if anyone wants any crime, murrrrrrderrrr, who dunnit suggestions of authors then please yell, can prob keep you going with recommendations for at least 2 years!

Right, off to sort out to go home for the day. Work, rugby, then meal out with friends tomorrow. Me thinks Sunday shall be a proper day of rest!

Heard some of Gary Barlow and Andrew Loyd Webber, I'll be interested to see if they go with an established act or an unknown for the single.

Will be keeping track of the rugby over the weekend but I have a foot in several camps in this competition so it can be hard to know who to support. However this weekend I'll be concentrating on a certain football match on Sunday afternoon.

If anyone has clear skies tonight, and a window facing west, have a look out and you'll see Venus and Jupiter lined up with a crescent Moon, pretty cool!

I enjoyed the show this morning the Lord and Mr Barlow were the perfect guests for a friday!

Sorry I have not bee around much but I have been extraordinarily busy with so much going on!

Thanks to the blogger who came along to watch me in Panto this year! It was a very nice thing for your to do and such a lovely mini-meet! Maybe more of your next year? Not really sure I should drink beer before, during and after the show but hey ho! xx

Following this my good lady has been in hospital for a double hernia op! She is still recovering at home.

My daughter has had her 20 week scan and the baby has Club feet so it was off to Bristol to see a specialist. It looks like the baby will have to be operated on to correct the feet. Gutted!

I am still singing and trying to get ready for a show next week!

I am working full time and running my own company on the side, more work than I can shake a stick at and no time to do it all in!

This blog is great; I only wish I could offer it the time and effort it deserves.

Keith: lovely to see you - you have always contributed so much to this blog - I will never forget Chris dedicating an entire show to you, in the Drivetime days. Annie: looks like the Edinburgh meet is taking off! Like you, there is no way I am going near The Mound or any ghost tour thingy! I did just an "ordinary" tour of Edinburgh and in every "Close" there is some story of mayhem and murder. What a city - absolutely beautiful and steeped in history ... some of it horrific!

It's a bit quiet int it. Mind you I suppose everybody is enjoying the lovely day it's been today.

Sorry for the abrupt entry yesterday. I was at work and just quickly popped in on the phone when I heard the tune. No wonder Gary won that round (although I quite liked Andrew's choice as well). I agree that Gary will probably get some sort of honour - aren't there birthday honours as well as the New Year ones? It wouldn't surprise me if there aren't extra ones for the jubilee as well.

I've got my flights booked for Edinburgh after an aborted mission a couple of days ago. The website I was looking at was quoting 21p each way plus taxes which came out far lower than the train would cost. When it came to paying though, they then added a Β£12 admin fee and Β£13 credit card fee EACH WAY!!!. I thought I would look at the airline's own site and only had to pay a Β£9 admin fee so got the tickets at a slightly higher price than originally quoted. The original website also had the cheek to state that it was the airline who was insisting on the credit card fee whereas the airline did not charge for debit cards and the credit card fee was much less than the Β£26 it would have cost me. (rant over)....

I've put my order in for a G&T which will be arriving at my side shortly.

Right today I am mostly looking after a chuck. Doing the Heston version. It is currently "de-brining" after "brining overnight", then it goes in the oven "low and slow" for 4 hours and ...... I will report back if all the extra effort is worth it. I did his roasties a few weeks ago - and they were good, but not worth the extra effort (and wasted water) in mho.

And they can only come this evening and I wanted to eat at lunch-time so we could all just chill out later.

Oh, what a grump I am! I should just be grateful for what we have got!

Well it's much the same here ladies ,a beautiful day full of sunshine and promise .One load of washing done and the next on the go .

Debs good luck with the chuck ,don't quite know what youv'e done there apart from maybe soak it .Lamb here for us .

Sezza ,I know just how you feel about wanting to eat at luch time as we always eat later and when it's time to start all of the cooking I really sometimes don't want to ,and for someone to pick at the meal youve spen t ages over is ungrateful ,Can I come instead ??

Seeing as nothing much got done here yesterday it's catch up for me ,but I'm going to potter and what doesn't get done today can quite honestly wait.

Aww Sezza, I'm also a Sunday LUNCH girl - as well you know! I think Bids hit the nail on the head, I like it at lunchtime/mid afternoon so that you can just chill for the rest of the day. Hope it works out OK, I do like a bit of lamb, but GD is defo a chicken girl.

Bids the chicken difference is cooking it really low 90degrees for 4 hours rather than a quick hour and half - meant to make it really really juicy - we will see.....

Glad some people have had the sun - I saw it for about 5 seconds this morning. Grey, cold and damp here in Fife.

Have had a nice weekend with the man in the cupboard and am contemplating the last of the weekend bottle of Pinot Grigio.

Debs, don't think we have to book an open-top bus, just jump on one at the side of Waverley Station. Beware, however, when it stops on the Royal Mile. Friend lives there and is always sorely tempted to chuck a bucket of water out the window!

Hi all, sorry, I have been away from the blog as Mr Loli and I have been visiting family in Scotland so I have tried to have a quick run through to see what I have missed. Hope everyone is well. Beautiful day here in East Sussex today.
Why is it when ever we fly so either myself or Mr Loli catches a cold, it must be all that circulated air carrying all the germs around.....continued....below

I noticed someone mentioned about reading The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo( sorry I cant remember who it was ) I have just finished the Stieg Larsson trilogy and must admit The Girl who Kicked the Hornets' Nest was a bit hard going, great story but all those Swedish names just got the better of me in the end and I'm sure the story could have been condensed to half the size.
Annie i recorded the Gerry Rafferty programme and watched it last night, it was brilliant wasnt it, and what a talented family. Shame Billy didnt turn up, that would have been the icing on the cake.
Anyway just winding down now and getting organised for work tomorrow.

I think what's made me most grotty is that I was really looking forward to seeing my mum and dad - they've been away for 2 weeks - that's ages for us!

I'm a Mother-in-law who is tolerated by her daughter-in-law and I do try my best to be nice, but I was also a daughter-in-law many years ago who really couldn't get on with her in-laws. Families are really hard work, aren't they?

I know it's difficult to try and get a happy medium on this ,I always try to leave before they want me too as I never ever want to over stay the welcome ,I have two lovely SIL's and I hope that they never think that Im too much there ,in fact as I still work they dont see much of me as so the daughters .

Even when sitting for them ,I always have my coat and bag ready ,so as they come in a quick hand over then I say right I'm off now and leave ,the lovely SIL's always see me to my car and off I go .
don't think there is anything worse than having a good night out and a skin full then having to entertain your sitter .they need there bed as I do .

Fortunately I'm not a MIL to daughters which i've heard is quite different ,so i'll thank my blessings .

Hi everyone:

My, doesn't Monday come around quickly?! I said to MrS this morning "oooh, I really do not like Mondays" and he said "sorry, toots, I love them - it's my day off"!

Sezza/Annie/Bids: it is one of my dearest wishes that I don't turn into a m-i-l that would overstay her welcome. Annie: yes, families are tremendous hard work - it's always a sadness for me that I wasn't really accepted by my husband's family - I think they just thought we were far too young to be getting married, and expected it to last five minutes, when in fact we are now 36 years down the line!

Yesterday, my sister and I finally cleared out our lovely sister's clothes and belongings - it has taken all this time for her husband to feel strong enough to see them go. I thought it would be a terrible day yesterday, but it was actually fine - we all helped each other go through everything and some of her clothes are just beautiful - they are all going to Marie Curie which is what she wanted. Although it was terribly sad, we went out for a bite of lunch and a good chat about the happy times.

I am very lucky with my parents in law - we chose to live near them and so gald we did, they are alwasy on hand if we need them but never get under our feet! Yesterday I asked my ma in law if she would help me sort out the front garden and she said she was pleased to be able to do something to help us - how lovely is that!

I also washed my window with vinegar and paper yesterday, got on top of the washing and ironing -I might end up an acceptable housewife one day!

After ???? years I think Mr PJ has given up on me ever becoming 'an acceptable housewife'. I hope he's decided it's too late to think about training somebody else up.

Can I just wish the gorgeous John Bishop all the best on his Sport Relief Challenge. I think it is amazing what these celebrities are prepare to do.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

We had a lovely day on Saturday with the dogs at a great woodland/beach walk in Leuchars, Fife and the weather was kind to us so it was a really nice day.

On Sunday I spent most of the day at a horse show with my friend and as D works till 6.30, I got my friend to drop me off at the local train station, where I got a train, then a bus to my Mum and Dad's, had a wine and a chat with them, then D picked me up there when he finished work and we got a chippy on the way home - lovely.

Looks like you're all hunkey dorey, and yes Crissie these Mondays come around far too quickly ..

Been a bit of a grey day here also but very mild so can't complain .we went off into town today had a meeting at the builing society to see how our finances are ticking along , they are holding up so we can go on living for a little while yet .then we tootled off down to Gunwarf and had a spot of late lunch ,hence no cooking today ,hooray.

Debs, I hope your week goes well ,h just take care of yourself ,and early nights.

PJ, hows cheshire looking ,my home county ,will be up that way soon. a nice green county I always think,and apparently they have a lot of millionares living there ,in fact I have a sister that lives not too far from that area.

Baggy ,vinegar is one of the best things you can use .even od furniture ,gets all the grease and finger marks ,and stops the build up of polish .

Love your idea of your Carfest, I regularly go to VW shows round the country with a similar concept. It combines 3 of my fave things old cars, live bands and food.
Ive also been raising money for Children in need for the past 4 years organizing Fancy dress footy tournaments raising loads of cash (I was Spiderman on last years Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's CIN show) so this would be great.
The wife has a 69 VW camper and Ive got an 83 VW mk1 Golf GTI what id love to have a go at the hill climb, Ive also got two camping toilets so will try my best to get another 198 loos for you, look forward to hearing more updates.
