Naughty Nick, who had to leave the show, is back for good. He's been through all the correct procedures good and proper and has earned a permanent staff place on the team all fair and square like.

Anyway, greetings from West Cork, where I'm, busy as a wasp in a jam jar but just had to recount the radio conversation I heard this morning on 2FM between some chap from Cavan, I think, and Gerry Ryan.

chris you were great to have on during the concert for diana lovely delivery
thought i would miss johnny walker alot but you have slotted in very well and make my cooking times (which it is when your on) fun again. the family often wonder what the hell i'm laughing at in the kitchen but its always you (in the nicest way of course)
on hols to cornwall shortly so will be busy for two weeks have a good one and are you goung travelling around uk again in the winter months for your show????

Really good to hear some happy news isn't it, it put me in a happy mood all day. I thought his parents seemed like really nice people, what an emotional reunion that will be.
Last thing I want to say about PD - I know he's a waster, but I just can't help feeling sorry for him, it just seems such a waste of talent and intelligence. However I completely respect everyone else's views, I'm just a soft touch I'm afraid!

Echo your sentiments old boy.
How anyone can keep it together for over one hundred days being woken in the night time and time again and not knowing whether your captors were going to move you, release you or murder you, beats me. He joins our other heroes like John McCarthy and Brian Keenan who have experienced things that none of us can even begin to imagine and lived to tell the tale.
We musn't forget those that didn't come home either.
On a far more mundane and pathetic note, I saw off my auditors today with a gold star and a little badge saying 'Top of the class'. The accounts were dutifully delivered EARLY, as our friends in Hong Kong requested, so with just a few loose ends to tie up I am home and dry for the weekend.
Well, actually I shall be neither home nor dry at the weekend, but you know what I mean.
Tally ho. I'm off to finish the book I started at Las Vegas airport and find my 'Teach yourself Spanish' CD.

I haven't had any time to read the blog lately, but caught up on this weeks blogs tonight.
I was spurred on to listen to Chris's show last Sunday and thank goodness I did. It is great! I'm still listening and have another 4 hours to go! I will listen to more tomorrow.
Such great news about Alan Johnston. I understand he knew of the support he had from family, friends, collegues and everyone around the world; it seems the support helped him get through each day of his captivity. I hope, after all the immediate media hype, Alan will be left alone to come to terms with what he has been through.

...as I type this - the sun's only gone and come out, with blue skies pulling up the rear!!!! Isn't the world a better place with the brightness of the sun streaming through the windows?
EmM - if I may just mention the PD thing once more. I feel it's the way with these genius types don't you? Such a waste of talent throught the weakness of young age and the lure of the bright lights of fame. I remember being so upset that Gazza never fulfilled his potential. England were crying out for a player like him on many an occasion. I heard that CLP once bought a season ticket at Spurs just because Gazza signed (don't know how accurate that story is?) Probably put Bestie in that bracket too.
Anyway enough of that. I'm a bit worried today as my knee has started to play up again. My 2 operations 'appeared' to have done the trick but this week it's feeling really sore again. If the cartilage has even tweaked let alone torn I'll be distraught as it'll probably mean more surgery. Fingers and toes crossed that it's nothing to worry about. Mind you I found this site during my last lay-off!!!!

I just want ter offer me big appologies to CLP & ALL Blog Friends for me blog on Monday about my incident with glue. I hope I 'aven't offended anyone by anyone thinking I was glue sniffing.
NO - Blog Friends glue sniffing should not be done by anybody, and I certainly never have - Don't need to after driving a solvents tanker for 5 years. I 'ad enough fumes off me 30,000 litre tanker ter last me a lifetime, not that I want ter get the fumes in the lungs, but I couldn't 'elp it.
SOLVENT ABUSE - It is wrong, it ain't clever, it ain't a good endeavour.... even in bad weather.
The incident with the glue I 'aven't been totally 'onest with - it's abit embarressing but i'm gonna come clean know, sorry now, blog friends.
Basically a bird came inter me house the other day and caused some serious damaged.
It was a great tit, I think, it flew in through me open door knocking over me Ricky Gervais figure inter me Freddie Starr figure. I worship both of them everday on me mantle piece- comic heroins, sorry heros of mine.
I was not 'appy- am tellin' yer, ter find Ricky had fallen onter Freddie, knocked his leg off.
So during the Diana Concert I thought now iz the time ter glue freddies leg back on- STRESS - am tellin yer!!!!!!
It's only when Nelly Furtado came on, who i've 'ad a big crush on for a while now- always tryin' ter get Wrightie ter set me up on date with her- ain't gonna 'appen, (pause for breath) I noticed she was wearing what looked like an engagement ring. I was brocken hearted- am tellin' yer!!!
I went closer ter the tv ter check out the ring and then me glue attached me ter the tv- embarressing - I know, CLP & Blog friends.
The only positive ere is I have little suspishion that the Furatado ring is an anti-stalker ring not an engagement ring- monch two, monch two or is it munch too, munch too - I don't know, I don't know!!!!!
So remember - say NO ter solvent abuse!!!
PS On a serious but happy note- very, very good news to hear of Alan Johnston's safe release.
