The sun has finally gone down. Madonna has been, Madonna has gone.I have sunburned forearms from sitting and typing in the shade (it seems I should have put something called sun-cream on them. Who knew?) and someone, while trying to point out their very redness, has brilliantly referred to them as "arm-shins". That's very much the kind of day today has been. Weird stuff has happened, great stuff has happened, and people have turned all sorts of funny colours.

Things I Have Learned From Day One Of Radio 1's Big Weekend:

The door to one of the mobile studios - the one Fearne and Reg were using - is very hard to open. And can result in one of your celebrity DJs - naming no names - getting herself locked out for a disturbing long time.

Paul, the drummer from the Feeling, was so pleased with his super-gelled hair do that he was inviting other band members to feel it, as it had prevented him from getting too sweaty.

Madonna was grinding ner nethers up on the video screen of Justin Timberlake during her performance of '4 Minutes'. This is a clear breach of health and safety regulations. I would LOVE to see the risk assessment form someone had to fill out for that.

The Futureheads are clearly the nicest men in the world. They've been spotted chatting to countless people, loads of other bands, and even had the good grace to pretend to remember an interview I did with Ross which featured the band Half Man Half Biscuit.

Nick Grimshaw has apparently been battling some digestive trouble. He's been quite open about it, telling anyone who will listen - well, OK, Tim from Radio 1 Online - that he's had to rush to the toilet a fair bit. The poor lamb.

Something happened to do with Foals and it's hard to find out exactly what it is. Either the band played a bad gig, and got really stressed about it, and possibly over-hot, and one of them was sick on the stage, or backstage, or they didn't play that bad a gig after all, and there was no stress and no sickness. That's about as definitive an account of the story as I can muster. But it definitely happened, OK?

Billy, the security guard at Radio 1's offices, has been walking around today with a laminate which bears the name 'Perez Hilton'.

Kelly Osbourne, fresh from snogging Chris Moyles on the main stage, and possibly feeling a bit light-headed, could not walk on the grass in her 6" heels, as they kept sinking into the mud. So she literally got carried away.

Scouting For Girls have enjoyed themselves so much today that they are taking a day off work tomorrow and coming back, just to hang out.

Fatboy Slim sufferend a broken record player during his DJ set, which left him having to DJ with just one. Pete Tong apparently got the broken one going again.

Oh, and his interview with Chris Moyles took place in the middle of someone elses barbecue.

Kate from Radio 1 also told me that the singer from the Fratellis told HER that the Police - that's the band featuring Sting and not the law-enforcement agency - had to have their own personal portaloos when touring. Does this mean Sting does tantric wees? And messy ones too? We need more information, dammit!

That's all for now. Go and watch the entire day in actual quality here. Tomorrow is a new day, with new experiences and new joys. See you there!
