Sam Sparro - 'Black And Gold'

Post categories:

Fraser McAlpine | 09:31 UK time, Thursday, 27 March 2008

Sam SparroSo it's YOU who stole Goldfrapp's sexynthesizers, Mr Sparro. I hope you realise that because of your selfish actions, poor Alison and Will have had to pretend to be really into pastoral things. She had to HUG an OWL because of you, Sam. How do you think that made her feel? After dancing about with mirrorball horses and singing about nothing but sexy robots for two whole albums. I just hope you're HAPPY, that's all.

And that's not the only thing you've half-inched, is it? Darwin's 'Origin Of Species' ring any bells, sir? The first two lines of your song have his fingerprints all over them. You may have disguised them well with your honeyed baritone, and you may look like a proper gent in the video - although, a stretch limo a with personalised numberplate? Which hen party did you steal THAT from? - but there's no mistaking the true owner of these ideas.

So, you may be congratulating yourself on having pulled off the perfect blag, but you didn't reckon on ChartBlog's very own CSI team, did you?

Enjoy your time in pokey, dirtbag...

Sorry, sorry...CHOKEY! That's it.

Amazing & catchy song! I hope it rises in the charts. And realistically, which current artists are 100% original nowadays?
