Debbie Harry

What Gary Valentine did after Blondie features tonight. Was he pushed or did he jump, I'm still not sure...wait till i check.... he left of his own accord, it seems. Anyway, he recorded a fairly snappy little tune called "The First One" in 1978, which wasn't as big a hit as 'Heart Of Glass'.ÌýNever mind.ÌýHe didn't manage to get on stage with the rest of Blondie when they received their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame which produced an extremely embarrassing section of the great Â鶹ԼÅÄ4Ìýdocumentary on the band. Debbie Harry politely said no to Gary, Frank Infante and Nigel Harrison. I supposeÌýthere would be too many on stage.Ìý

    Re: The Alleycats.

Maybe one of Mickey's jokes went way over my head but.....

'South Bay' is usually a reference to the area around San Jose ie the southern part of San Francisco bay.

Mickey I was chatting to you a while back after an interview we did about you doing a wee talk for the local schools round the Bog about how the music scene has developed in Derry since you were a young'un-its part of a large scale project we're doing with Heritage Lottery looking at all aspects of the Bogs history APART FROM the Troubles so obviously music is a big part of it-was hoping that you and maybe some of the other Tones could take part-aiming for January/Feb next year but am flexible as long as we can run it before April-am happy to do some material for Radio Foyle to go into detail etc-let me know the craic
    All the best

Dear EastBayJay - be thankful my jokes go over your head, I wish they would go over my head too. Of course, the more plausible answer is that my geographical knowledge of the USA is pitiful. I know where my sister lives outside Detroit, and that's about it. Feel free to email me with more details of the remark. michael.bradley@bbc.co.uk. Same email adress for you too Mickey. Happy to help.
