The Springwatch webcams are back this week and we’ve also got live coverage of D-Day commemorations on the 70thÌýanniversary of the event. Sports fans can look forward to a warm-up for the Fifa World Cup as well as live Diamond League athletics, Scrum V rugby and European Championship rowing.

Friday Night is Music Night : ÌýD-Day 70 Years On

Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night presents a concert from the Royal Albert Hall to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Jeremy Vine, Dermot O'Leary and Louise Minchin are joined by Patrick Stewart, Katherine Jenkins, Beverley Knight, The Military Wives Choir, Seth Lakeman and the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra to recount and commemorate the events of 6 June 1943.

D-Day 70: The Heroes Return

Get full and uninterrupted coverage of events from Normandy to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day – including the British event at Bayeux Cemetery and the American Commemorations at Omaha Beach. Senior members of the British Royal Family join President Obama and other heads of state, with veterans from all nations to pay tribute to the thousands of soldiers, sailors and airmen who lost their lives on that fateful day on the 6th June 1944 and in the days and weeks that followed in the Battle for Normandy.
