Description
Every Sunday there is a market in Antigua. Two presenters visit the market and show us typical fruit from the area. But these products aren鈥檛 the only things Guatemala is famous for. It is also famous for coffee, chewing gum and chocolate.
Classroom Ideas
This clip could be used to revise vocabulary for fruits and vegetables. Students could research recipes which involve the four fruits featured - 鈥榣a pi帽a鈥, 鈥榣a sand铆a鈥, 鈥榚l pl谩tano鈥, 鈥榚l papaya鈥. They could then translate these recipes into Spanish. The class could also discuss the main product of Guatemala, 鈥榚l chicle鈥, and how it is processed.
