The city of Granada
Description
The history of Granada in southern Spain from the Moors taking control of the city in 711AD to their overthrowal by the Catholic kings in 1492. There are still examples of Moorish influence all over the city.
Classroom Ideas
This clip could be used as a listening comprehension on the city of Granada. Students could be asked to make a note of when the Moors invaded and how long they were there for. They could also listen out for the ways the Moors have influenced present day architecture, tourism, language and food.
