Establishing a totalitarian state
Totalitarianism is a form of government that controls every aspect of individuals' lives. Under Hitler, the Nazis tried to take total control of Germany through a range of measures:
- crushing of opposition
- fear and state terrorism
- social controls
- propaganda
- successful foreign policy
- economic policies
- social policies
