The Higher P.E. course is assessed in two parts: The performance and the exam. The performance involves you being assessed in two different activities. The exam tests your knowledge and understanding of the theoretical components of the course.

The exam component assesses your theoretical knowledge and understanding of course content.

You will be required to build and expand your knowledge of the four factors below :

The four factors in Physical Education are mental, emotional, social and physical.
  • emotional
  • mental
  • physical
  • social

Questions in the exam will be based around:

  • how these factors can impact performance
  • the different ways they can be taken through the cycle of analysis:

The exam is scored out of 50 marks. Scoring is divided into three different sections.
