St Non’s well

The chapel of St Non marks the birth place of St David and is located very near to St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire.

The ruin is thought to be on the site of St Non's house, and is considered to be one of the oldest Christian buildings in Wales. In 1934, a modern chapel was constructed using the traditional building style of the area that was used as long ago as 500 AD. There are stained glass windows of both St David and St Non in the rebuilt chapel.

Holy Well of St Non

The Holy Well of St Non can also be found near the chapel ruins. It is considered to be one of the most sacred wells in Wales, as the water is believed by some to have miraculous healing powers.

The well is said to have sprung up when St David was born, and continued to be visited frequently by Christians even after the .

There is also a small shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary opposite the well.
