Radio 4 broadcast the complete series of Anthony Trollope’s much-loved  during 2014.

Set within the fictional cathedral town of Barchester and the surrounding county of Barsetshire, the dramas focus on the lives, loves and tribulations of the local clergy and rural gentry.

These classic novels were dramatised by Michael Symmons Roberts and Nick Warburton, creating dramas which are real Sunday destination listening.

Michael Symmons Robert

Michael Symmons Roberts adapted Anthony Trollope's classic novel The Warden for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4.

He explains his choice of narrator for the dramatised version of the novel.

We felt some kind of authorial voice, or guiding voice or commenting voice would be fitting and would suit the spirit of the books.

Nick Warburton

Nick Warburton adapted Anthony Trollope's Barchester Towers for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4.

He explains some of the challenges faced when adapting a well-known and much-loved work for radio.

It's harder to adapt things than to do original things.
