Sachiko Hamada has not seen her father for over a week.
A worker at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, he has become one of the nameless heroes battling to save the plant and protect Japan from more radiation leaks.
Sachiko's father left for the plant on 16 March. She has not heard from him since.
She has contacted the company running the plant - the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) - but they have been unable to give her any information about her father.
Sachiko and her mother have been anxiously watching events unfold on television. Her mother is now in hospital due to the stress of worrying about her husband.
Sachiko told Outlook's Matthew Bannister that she is proud of what her father is doing for his country, and that she really appreciates the way people are praising the Fukushima 50 - describing them as heroes.
As his daughter though, she simply wants him to come back home.
