How to Write a Novel
Michele Roberts
Michele Roberts

Michèle Roberts is half-English and half-French, and divides her time between London and the French countryside.

She's the author of eleven highly acclaimed novels including Daughters of the House (published by Virago) which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1992.

She wrote eloquently about the writing process in her collection of non-fiction essays, On Food, Sex and God (published by Virago). Her latest novel, The Looking Glass (published by Virago), examines the nature of love and how it can be shared. She's been described as "one of Britain's best novelists".

Work In Progress
Michèle has just finished a collection of short stories, and is currently writing a new novel about sex and money.

Writers Tip
Michèle offers this advice for aspiring writers
"Stay with the chaos and the uncertainty that your unconcious mind sends you and discover what new subjects and approaches can come out of turbulence."
