The average household debt in the UK is Β£54,124 including mortgages and, even more worryingly, there are more credit cards in the UK than people, according to APACS the UK payments association. At the end of 2005 there were 74.6 million credit and charge cards in the UK compared with around 60 million people in the country.Μύ
