Emperor dragonfly

Kilvey Community Woodland

Overlooking the whole of Swansea city centre, the docks and Swansea Bay, this hill is specially designed as a community nature reserve, and relies largely on volunteers.

It has a range of habitats from woodland to a lake, all of which contribute to a wealth of wildlife which are unusual for an urban landscape: emperor dragonflies, blue-tailed damselflies, buzzards and even slow worms and lizards.
